Description:-

Shell elevated and conical. whorls four to five; surface traversed by regularly spaced spiral grooves crossed by axial growth lines; oblique transpiral striae crossing the surface of whorls, basal surface striated radially; Umbilicus round, deep, umbilical margin ornamented with stout teeth, abutted with a double spiral groove; raised marginal band on the periphery of the flattened base bordered by beaded margin with two grooves; brown blotches below suture. Colour light brown with profuse blotches of pinkish purple, orange, brown or yellowish brown, bands often broken into patches. Base brownish with concentric brown markings on the margin.
