Description:-

Shell moderately large; solid; dorsoventrally compressed; spire raised; Varices on both sides fin-like with two to three small spines; sculptured with granulated spiral ribs; body whorl bears two rows of spiral cords with fine nodes; one row on penultimate whorl; rest of the shell surface with granulose spiral threads and spinous nodes; Aperture slightly ovate; outer lip denticulate; Columella smooth, denticulate towards base; Siphonal canal short; Colour light brown; aperture white.

Franklin and laladhas (2014) and Bijukumar(2012) recorded the presence of this species from coast of Kerala
