Description:-
Shell elongated, without a notch on the ventral side of the valves near the anterior end, the anterior end is abruptly truncate.
Remark:-
Appukuttan (1973) reported Jouannetia cumingii from Quilon coast.
Habitat:-
Burrowing in firm mud, clay or shale.
