Description:-
Shell moderate sized; body whorl inflated, spire depressed and spirally striated, surface spirally grooved, body whorl sculptured with numerous fine closely set spines, body whorl with five rows of light brown squarish blotches continuing to the dorsal ridge of outer lip; aperture convex, interior of outer lip weakly toothed; columellar shield prominent and strongly plicated at the base.
Remark:-
Bijukumar (2012) reported the occurrence of this species along Kerala coast.
