Description:-

Shell medium sized, elongately cylindrical, thick and stout; Spire high, conical, sutural ramp weakily conical; Body whorl striated transversely; Aperture elongate and wider towards the base; outer lip thin, marginally sharp and weakily concave in the middle region; anterior region of aperture slightly notched; ground colour white with irregular wavy reddish brown lines forming zig zag blotches in the form of triangular scale like pattern; interior of aperture white; periostracum thin,yellowish.

Franklin and Laladhas (2014) recorded the presence of this species from Kerala coast

Habitat:-

seen in muddy and sandy substrates of continental shelf region
