Description:-
Shell of moderate size; thick; surface glossy; rectangle shaped orange spots with scattered violet shadow; spots densely packed so as to form two bands just above and below the centre; apex white, ornamented with orange spots; aperture white, base violet coloured; periostracum thin, smooth and brownish.
Remark:-
The venom of this species is reported to produce tissue necroses and haemorrhage at the site of infection. Rao (2003) and Franklin and Laladhas (2014) reported it from Kerala coast.
