Description:-

Shell moderate sized; flat; roundly ovate; sculptured with fine granular radially arranged ribs and riblets; Colour pale yellowish brown, often encrusted by algae ; rays purplish brown; ventral side pale yellowish with irregular dark brown blotches on the margin, iridescent and streaked with darker colours.

Bijukumar (2012); Ravinesh and Bijukumar (2013); Franklin and Laladhas (2014) recorded the presence of this species from Kerala coast.

Habitat:-

Intertidal rocky shore; on rocks in the littoral fringe
