Description:-

Shell moderately large; solid; rough and heavy; globose shaed; spire short; body whorl slightly inflated; sculptured with thick foliaceous spines on varices; siphonal canal moderately long; colour off white; aperture whitish with light rose pink colour along the aperture margin; outer lip conspicuously crenulated; columella rose pink.

Remark:-

Bijukumar (2008, 2012) recorded the occurrence of this species along Kerala coast.

Habitat:-

Reef associated marine; inhabits sandy and rubble bottoms near coral reefs.
