Description:-
Shell small sized; with a less elevated spire and blunt apex; body whorl faintly coronated at shoulders; sculptured with fine spiral striae becoming prominent towards the base; colour white; spiral rows of prominent large blackish brown squares; aperture narrow, elongate; outer lip thick and sharp; ground colour whitish pink; Aperture white; periostracum thin.

Sary (2014) recorded it from Vizhinjam coast of Kerala
Habitat:-
intertidal rocky shores; shallow sub tidal; sandy substrates
