Description:-

shell large, heavy solid and inflated, dorsal surface bulged; base flat, slightly concave, devoid of markings; colour dorsally bluish gray; to creamy white; speckled with small black scattered irregular brown or purplish spots all over dorsal surface; slightly yellowish red longitudinal stripe seen on dorsal surface; margins smooth;

It is one of the largest among cowry shells. Franklin and Laladhas recorded the occurrence of this species from Kerala coast
