Description:-

Shell small, ovate; teeth strong and numerous; margins thickened and slightly expanded; colour pale yellowish brown ornamented with numerous round, white spots pupiled with dark reddish brown or black ocellated spots; brown dots extending over a portion of white base below; teeth strong; equal; distantly placed; interior of aperture purple tinged.

Rao (2003) and Ravinesh and Bijukumar (2013) recorded the presence of this species along Kerala coast

Habitat:-

sandy substrates and coral reefs; intertidal: seen under rocks in association with sea weeds
