Description:-

Shell medium sized, ovate, spire acute; whorls angulate; body whorl strongly shouldered; aperture wide and ovate; outer lip prominently crenulated; lirations seen within aperture; columella smooth and calloused with mild striations; double rows of tubercles seen on upper part of body whorl; colour greyish brown, aperture light brown

Preston, 1916; and Bijukumar (2012) recorded the occurrence of this species along Kerala coast

Intertidal; sub tidal; mangroves and Mudflats
