Description:-

Shell medium sized; thick and broadly ovate; apex more or less depressed; dorsal surface coarse; sculptured with oblique rows of spiral cords; spiral cords nodulose in appearance; body whorl broad, elevated and tubular, perforated along the margin; aperture large; colour olive green with a dull greyish rostrum; ventral side nacreous

Lower inter tidal; shallow sub tidal; rocky shore; or on coral reefs
