Description:-

Medusae were Rhizostomeae with three-winged mouth arms, a network of anastomosing canals joined to the gastric cavity only via radial canals, subumbrella muscles were annular, and papillae appeared to be present near the subgenital ostia. marginal lappets were not elongated and tentacle-like. All specimens of Crambionella had 8 rhopalia. The number of lappets between adjacent rhopalia was 8, 12, or 16, and could vary within single jellyfish.

This species is recorded from Kerala coast by Nair (1946, 1951) and Riyas (2013).
