Description:-

Colour milky white with tips of pleopods and uropods bordered red. Specimens have one epigastric tooth and five rostral teeth on the dorsal side of the rostrum. Rostral teeth varied from 1 + 5 to 1 + 6. . In males the spermatophores are very conspicuous.

Remark:-

Rare species off Kerala coast. Undergoes diel vertical migration; occurs in the epipelagic zone at night. Reported off Kerala coast by Rao (1984). Listed by Radhakrishnan et al. (2012).

Pelagic; depth range 50 – 2,500 m
