Description:-

Body oval with flat papillated ventrum; dorsal felt chestnut brown. Length of body 25 mm; width about 12 mm including parapodia; segments number 35. Prostomium with short, thick, median antenna and a pair of ocular prominences with or without minute visible eyes. Palpi as long as first 6 segments. Median segments with ventral cirri extending to ends of parapodia; parapodia in posterior segments with ventral cirri longer than in front. Notosetae terminate distally in hooks, often broken off in the dorsal felt. Neurosetae of first 2 segments of 3 kinds; Superior , thick, bronze-coloured with slightly curved tips, a few median ones with bipinnate tips, and inferior setae similar to those in the middle series, with slightly curved, heavily bearded tips.
