Description:-

Body shows decorative reticulated (net-like) pattern; dark, mossy-brown body colour. Dorsal and anal fins yellowish; pectoral fins pale with yellow rays; caudal fin yellowish brown with dark margin. Head and body covered with small spinules except for snout. Nasal organ with 2 bifid fleshy flaps. Size: maximum 30 cm, commonly to 25 cm.

Habitat:-

Occurs in shallow water reefs near sand or seaweed areas.
